Happy Wednesday y’all! This is the second addition of this motivational series. I was thinking about it last night and I think this is a great time for this series. The weather is getting cooler, the warm bed is even harder to leave, the holidays are coming which means lots and lots of FOOD! So I’m really glad to be talking about this right now. We’ve already talked about making a plan and packing up your bag so let’s move on from there.
1. Set your alarm to a peppy song:
I’m pretty sure most of you don’t use the clock radio with that terrible alarm anymore, most of us use our phones, ipods, etc. Set your alarm to a song that you can’t help but dance and sing along to. It will make it that much easier to get out of bed and get going. AND your stuff is already layed out or packed and ready to go! I promise that makes a difference, if you don’t believe me, try it!
2. Have a glass of water right next to your bed:
Alright, “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift is blaring in your bedroom and you have literally jumped out of bed and started dancing into your workout clothes, right? Well, if you need a little extra help, have a glass of water, or your water bottle right next to your bed. Before you do anything else, take a big swig! Not only will it help wake you up, but it will also kickstart your metabolism and help with digestion as well as getting you hydrated for your great workout that you are about to have!
3. Go to bed earlier
I know that since having my sweet little girl, I like to stay up later with my hubby once she has gone to bed. It’s nice to just be in the quiet sometimes. And there are also some days where once I put that little firecracker down I am out for the night as well! Going to bed even 15 or 20 minutes earlier will make it a lot easier to wake up the next day. Leave the dishes for the morning, or the toys out for the night. It is not the worst thing to leave the house in “shambles” for a little bit longer. Take some time for you! Get a few more Zzz’s so you can wake up refreshed and ready to start your day, the right way!
I hope these tips help! I know they are a big help to me. Whatever your routine is, just stick with it! Be honest with yourself about what works for you and what doesn’t. Don’t be afraid to try something new.
